Guess what?

I HAVE THE INTERNET!!!!!!

Finally, after 3 weeks of silence from me, you can all read about the daily monotony of my life again :D:D

A basic summary of the last 3 weeks is in order, and can be summed up like this: I did not a lot.
I've read alot, lazed alot, played some games, watched some movies, spent alot of time at Kims house, played alot of LazerQuest, and thats about it. My parents came up last weekend, and it was really nice to see them (and Sarah, who also came along)... spent the whole weekend with them.

Weather recently has been gorgeous, and been out relaxing in the sun with friends alot too... yesterday involved swimming with Mike, Bel and Kim, then playing LazerQuest (came 1st, then 2nd).

Tomorrow is gonna be a lazy day, with a Blue Moon in the evening (picnic on teh hilleh!)

Anyways, thats enough for now. Back soon.

Our house, in the middle of our street....

Yup, I'm back in the UK safe and sound, and all moved in.

Had a fairly uneventfull flight home (apart from almost leaving with Silje's car keys, and getting stopped at customs for having sharp pokey things in my bag), and got back into Canterbury around 1700 on Weds. Spent the night at Kim's house, as she, Mike, Ben and Babs had already moved into their house. Woke up bright and early on Thurs, and got my house keys from the agency. House was a big mess when I got there, but cleaners came and cleaned everything up, which was good.
Tim helped me move in (we put all my boxes in a trailer to move from his house to mine, and we had looooads of fun with that :D), which was cool, and I had _most_ of my stuff sorted out by that evening.

I've generally been lazing about over the last few days... Went to broadstairs on Sunday (and bought a set of samurai swords and got a new phone) with Wendy, Chris and Becky, bought a load of DYI stuff for my room, and have generally been sorting my room out. All that is left now are three boxes of books waiting for a bookcase.

Watched the first two ever episodes of Star Trek : Next Generation last night; They were funny, but good. I'm thinking of watching the aaaall the episodes over the summer :D

I really should get a job, but I can't really find the will to go and get one, meaning I'm gonna be a little on the poor side for a while.

Ummm, yeah, thats about it. I've pretty much accepted that my room is the crappest one in the house, and I've made it so nice and cosy that it's really nice now. I'm really quite happy at the moment.

All I need to do is pick up my credit card from the bank, get a new ID card, get a new NUS card, and council tax exemption forms, sort out the house network, and get Sky and broadband wired to my house.

For those who want, my mobile number is 07919200002, and our new house landline number is 01227 787355

*sigh*

I write this in the last half hour I have here at Silje's appartment. Kinda sad, really...

Anyway, Saturday was ok at Roskilde. Didn't do much during the day, then went to see Basement Jaxx, which was brilliant, then the Quantic Soul Orchestra which was good, and Fatboy Slim, which was alrightish.

Sunday kicked ass. I went out wandering again, and around 1ish got a text from Åsmund saying that we would be leaving early that night, straight after the concerts, rather than waiting to the morning. So I went back to camp and backed up, then went with Toshi and Jorund and a few others to see Santana, which I didn't thik was all that great. I wandered around and picked up a few souvenirs... couple of T-Shirts and a crazy hat. The I went with Toshi to stand in the queue for Muse, 2 hours before the concert started! We heard the whole of the Franz Ferdinand concert, but didn't get to see them as we were stood outside in the queue. Sounded good though. Muse was fantastic, untterly amazing. Fantabulous concert, and cos I was really close to the front, I got some reeeeeally good videos and photos. So I was happy.

We left in the end around 0130, and after 9 hours or so of driving through the cold Danish/Swedish/Norwegian night, got back home. Spent Monday struggling to stay awake, had dinner at Silje's parents place. Watched a lot of Futurama Season 5 too :D

Tuesday was spent lazing about... watched loads of Futurama, Braveheart, plus some Danish Snatch-style movie, the title of which translates to "Old men in new cars". Was a bit wierd, but fun :D

And now, it is Wednesday morning. My flight leaves in an hour and a half, and in 4 hours of so I'll be back in the UK after 5 weeks of fun filled happiness here in Norway. I've had a good time, but I'm glad I'm coming home. Still, I'll miss Norway. It rocks :D

Thanks so much to Silje for putting me up, and putting up with me. Even if I _did_ do all the washing/cleaning/cooking ;D I hope you'll keep good memories of the last few weeks. Like that trip to Gothenburg, and getting that lifering on the way back. Like laying on the top of a viking burial mound listening to Gun & Roses. Like fly-fishing in the rain in the middle of that lake at your cabin. LIke the cabin itself, full of beer, wine, warm fire and talk.

Thank you *hugs*

And now I get to go home, whoooppppeeeeeeeee!!! :D:D
Back into Canters around 1630 hopefully, after an evil 4 hour coach journey.

Loadsa cool bands yesterday....

Sooooo, yesterday.

I saw Within Temptation first, at 1600, and it was excellent. Sort of like Nightwish's latest albums... (almost poppy) metal with a female lead. So that was really good.
Then I went back to camp briefly, got some food, then went with Tøshi to see Teitur, a cool acoustic artist. Very cool to chill out listening to that :D
After that, I chilled about for a bit, then headed over and got into the "mosh-pit" of the Avril Lavigne concert. I wasn't expecting mych, but it was actually really, really good. I was all of 15m away from the front of the stage, so I got some kickass photos.
I saw the end of the Hives, but that was quite disappointing... didn't think much of it. Then I met back up with Tøshi (and met Osmund) and headed across to a south-african band called Otto, which was really cool and lively, very fun and dancy.
Finally, the night ended with a concert from The Hives at 0100, which kicked ass. I hadn't heard all that much of their stuff before, but they gave a kickass performance, and I really enjoyed it.

So, yesterday was fantastic.

Today, I shall be watching RotK at 1500, cos there isn't much else on, and then in the evening it's Iggy and the Stooges, Basement Jaxx and Fatboy Slim, all on the same (main) stage, meaning 6 hours off sitting on the grass/mud, drinking beer, and chilling out. Weather permitting :p

Feeling better :D

Went and saw two bands yesterday: Dropkick Murphys, which was a really cool ska type band, lots of life, and then a girl called Joss Stone. And she was great. I want you all to download her music, so I can leach it off you when I get back :P
The concert was great, started at the back and ended up at the front, the music was _superb_ pop-soul kinda stuff.... reeeeeally great :D

So yeah, drank some more after that, then went to sleep. Today, it looks like it's gonna be Within Temptation at 1600, Avril Lavigne at 2200, maybe a little Slipknot, but they're really not my kinda music. Oh, and The Hives, at 0100 :D

I really need to get me an english programme... trying to understand Danish is bending my mind into new and interesting shapes, but it starts to hurt after a while.

Oh, and the sun was shining for a brief while this morning, and it isn't raining, so today is a definate improvement on yesterday :D

Mud!

I am no longer in a field.

I am now in one very large puddle.

Yey for thunderstorms.

Quick update

from the middle of a field in Denmark. I can't remember where I left off, so I'll just give a brief recap of the last week.... thursday watched lots of wierd stuff with Silje, drank lots of beer, wahey. Friday, watched Eddie Izzard (again) with Ifeta and Silje, drank lots of wine, wahey. Had to be up at 4ish on Saturday in order to pack bags, etc, since we had managed to not do it on friday... I managed to get to sleep around 3am because the washing machine threw water all over the floor.

Spent aaaages travelling on saturday... left around 0530, ferry at 0700, loooooads more driving (about 8 hours) through sweden, then another ferry, then lots of getting lost in copenhagen trying to find Silje's grandmother's sister, then, finally, getting to Roskilde around 6ish. Went into town for some food, then went back and forwards lots of times to watch some football, and pick people up who weren't there. Finally went to sleep in the car around 3ish.

Up againaround 6ish on Sunday, drove in a big queue to the front gates, parked, got in the line around 8ish when the gates opened, and actually got through the gate 3.5 hours later. Fun. Got everything sorted out... drank!
Monday... drank!
Tuesday... drank!
Wednesday... drank!
Today... feeling sleepy, bored, and a little down. Almost everyone here doesn't like speaking english, meaning I am left out of things for most of the time. Feeling a little homesick after 5 weeks of non-englishness :(

Oh, and in between all that drinking, I've been sleeping (lots), having a shower (soooo nice), and wading through lots and lots and lots of mud. It's been raining, and 70000 people make lots of mess. I've also been eating a lot of the crappy junkfood stuff they sell here, although there is some nice rice type stuff one place sells.

I think thats it for this update... it's kinda long, but I've done a lot of stuff.

I miss everyone, especially Kim. *hugs and kisses to her* Love you :*
