Another long update:

Spending the weekend in Silje's cabin was very, very fun :D
It rained quite a lot of the time, so we stayed in, drinking beer and wine, kept a log fire roaring, and chatted. It was so nice to spend the time like that :D
We went driving into the nearest twon (an hour away :P) on Saturday, and I drove back. T'was cool, especially going around all the twisty roads. I think Silje had somthing of a heart attack though :D
We tried rowing about on the lake on Sat too, but it didn't really work, so we tried again on Sunday, and went further. We took fishing rods too, and tried to go fly-fishing... didn't really work all that well :D:D

Got back on Monday, and I went straight to Silje's brothers house to watch the england-croatia match. Tuesday, Silje had to go to Olso after work, so I stayed online for most of the night and cuaght up with a lot of people, which was cool. Wednesday it was Midsommers, so we went to a BBQ at Silje's uncle (who still remembers that I got... a little tipsy on whisky when I was here last Aug, and who now keeps on giving me whisky :P), which was very cool. I like Silje's family :D
Yesterday involved hanging around in town with some of Silje's friends, which was very cool, then watching Snatch, followed by Airplane!, then we just watched some random HTF stuff, and some episodes of South Park, drinking 12 bottles of beer throughout the evening. Didn't watch the England-Portugal match, but it's a shame that we're out :(

Today, Silje and I have to clean the appartment up, and sort things out, as we're leaving for Denmark at 6am tomorrow for a week. Roskilde should be soooo great :D:D

Anyway, I'm gonna post my exams results in a min, and then I'm gonna go sleep some.

So, yeah....

I so can't remember everything I've done over the last week or so :P

Ummm... went to the beach with Silje's brother and his friends on Sunday, got very sunburnt, then watched England lose to France in the most sucky way possible.
Most of the week has involved sleeping late, then cleaning up the house, hoovering, cooking food, doing dishes etc while Silje works, then in the evening going out and doing stuff.

A few days back we went to this old viking burial mound, drove the car up, and sat about looking at the stars, and listening to music... t'was muchos cool.

On... saturday, I went to a parteh where, for the vast majority of the evening I was the only guy... being surrounded by many norwegian girls certainly was somthing of an experience. T'was cool though, got to know even more people out here. :D

Yesteday there was another big parteh, managed to drink at least 12 bottle of some local brew, and not get in the least bit drunk. Got to meet more people again, didn't get to bed until about 3ish.

Yeah... Silje and I are off to her parents cabin in the mountains tonight, and will be gone until monday, so I won't be around for the weekend.

yey, having muchos fun :D

Oh, and...

A friend of mine has been writing a story online, consisting of a number of short stories all joined together. It's well worth a read, and he has put together a short trailer style movie for it, which I am hosting for him.

Click here, watch the movie and read the story. Or Else.

Last few days:

Haven't updated for a while so I might as well now :P

I can't believe it's Thursday already! I have been here for a week now, and it feels like the time has gone so quickly! On the other hand though, Silje and I have done sooooo much stuff, it's been great :D

The days usually start with Silje leaving around 0730, leaving me to doze for a few hours. I get up, have a shower, eat some food, then spend the day lazing about, reading, writing, chatting, cleaning (thats right, Silje works, and I clean the house and cook when she gets home. Scary, huh?), general chillage. Then, when she gets back, we eat, then go and do stuff.
Monday we went into town looking for a job for me, Tuesday we went to Silje's parents for a BBQ, yesterday we drank lots (and lots and lots) of beer and had muchos fun dancing around the kitchen.

In between this, I have shown Silje Eddie Izzard'd show, Dressed to Kill, and she loves it... we keep quoting bits from it to each other all the time :D

Plan for this evening is uncertain, probably involves more drink at some point :P

Heh heh heh. Ahem. Yes.

Thursday evening I went with Silje to her brothers place, where we beat him and his friends at Trivial Pursuit (in Norwegian! :D). Had fun, drank beer, went back and watched some stuff.
Friday I lazed about a bit, not doing anything really... started reading Battlefield Earth. Went to a parteh at Kenneths house in the evening, getting a lift town with Tine, and met up with loads of people again... twas good talking/getting drunk with them again, plus I met some new people :D Loads of funkeh photos on the way (my camera is full at the moment!), when I can be bothered to sit down, edit them all, and upload them.

Yesterday and today have been extreeeeemely interesting days... Silje and I went to Sweden on the ferry at about 1300 on Saturday, got 3 crates of beer, and some other stuff for Silje and her friends in the Duty Free, then wandered about in Stømstad on the other side... had a nice meal (after restaurant hunting for a good 30 mins!). We were gonna drive back to Sandefjord, but at the turning to head back to Norway, we randomly decided to go for a drive, and ended up in Gøthenburg, about 3 hours drive into mainland sweden! Was a very entertaining drive, and had fun once we got there (except for the minor incident of my wallet getting stolen, losing me my credit card, debit card, drivers licence, student ID's, and about £50 worth of Swedish Kroner.) After walking all over the city, we eventually just sat down in a park with one of the crates of beer, and drank. And talked. And listened to music. And had a great time. Seriously, it was so great just to chill out with Silje. Happy days.

We were gonna attempt to sleep in the car, but it was too cold (Silje even tried to get into a hotel), so around 4-5ish am we started back to Norway. The roads were virtually empty, and it was so cool watching the sun rise over the hills, speeding down an empty highway....
Got to Strømstad at 6, only to find that the next ferry back to Norway wasn't until 10... so we drove about a bit, found a petrol station, then a park. Silje was loosing it a bit at this point, and our travels became rather hilarious... reversing in circles around a deserted petrol station was the least of it :D

By this time the sun was a fair way up, and we just lay in the sun, under a completely clear azure sky, next to a crystal clear fjord, and dozed for a few hours, listening to some music. Again, it was really, really nice (understatement!).

However, at some point, Silje's bag went missing (we think it was stolen from the car while we dozed), which had the duty free stuff in it, as well as some other valuables... At first, we couldn't quite believe it, t'was quite surreal. The bag was no where to be found, and the ferry was leaving in 20 mins, so we had to leave, and get replacement tickets, etc. Twas.... wierd, more than anything.

So yeah, a brilliant, completely spontaneous two days, slightly marred by the loss of two sets of valuables. Still, we're alive at the end of it, Silje has travel insurance, and I have canceled my cards and ordered new ones, so it is by no means the end of the world. It's only the beginning.

:D:D:D:D

Whoops

Seeing as how the last few days have been pretty cool, I really should have updated at least three times. Never mind.

Monday, woke up early (0830!! :O) and went to Ashford on the coach with people (Kim, Mike, Jen, Piggeh, Matt, Bel and Dave), walked two miles to the cinema, then watched Harry Potter 3: Prisoner of Azkaban. Brilliant film, much better than the first two... more mature, much better filmwork, more funny. I loved the scenery, and the whomping willow was excellent. Then it was off to KFC (woohoo!), ate lots of yummy chicken stuff, followed by lazing in the sun (and getting hayfevery) for an hour or so. It was then time to watch The Day After Tomorrow, another thoroughly good film. Some people had left already, so only Kim, Mike, Jen, Piggeh and I got the coach home (after searching Ashford for a Burger King and only finding a McD's). We were a little bored as we waited for the coach, so I posted a coke cup to Mike's home address. It'll be funny to see if it gets there.

Tuesday involved lazing about in the morning (waiting for laundry to dry), then hauling my PC over to Rutherford, one of the colleges on campus, and spending a good 7 hours or so, with loads of people (dave, piggeh, syn, skwar, ka, nick, alex, ozzit, pyro, skel, matt... toooo many to name), fragging the hell out of each other, mainly on UT2K4. Finished on some kickass games of CTF... very, very good evening, great way to spend the last day at uni :D
I needed to finish packing, so I headed back off home, and packed my bags. There was sooo much stuff!

Yesterday was veeeeery chaotic, involoving getting up early, running around like a headless chicken to finish getting stuff packed, putting it all in a car, lugging biiig heavy bags around town to sort stuff out at the bank and the post office (I have an E111 this time! :D)... suffice it to say, the morning was quite mad. And I cannot thank Tim's parents enough for helping me move, and storing my stuff for me.
Coach to London, and then Stansted was ok, nodded off a few times (damaging my neck in the process), got there with loads of time to spare. Flight was uncomfortable, but ok, arrived into Norway safely at around 2200, got picked up by Silje (in her car :D), got a kebab, and was reminded of Norwegian prices.

To be honest, the prospects of getting a job over here are now pretty slim (being here for only 3 weeks, and not speaking the language :P), so Iæm gonna have lots of time to chill, relax, and generally be on holiday. Although I'm definitely not gonna object if a job comes up... I kinda need the money :P

Yeah. I'm good, I'm happy, everything is great :D

*hugs Kim*
