Just a quick update, as I've gotta get to bed to be up early in the morning to go to cardiff for David's, my best mates, 21st b'day :D
Tuesday was spent lazing about in Woody's all day, seriously. Went there at about 1300, came back at about midnight. Weds was a glorious day, and I spent the most of the day with Kim. In the evening, a load of people walked down to town to watch Kill Bill Vol.2; I had already seen it, so spent the time reading in a park :D. After the filmeh, I met back up with everyone, and we all went to Nando's, which was amazing :D There were 22 of us, and it was a great atmosphere. Definately one to do again.
Today, I had a brief apointment with the doctor (I have an appointment on Tuesday for a blood test \o/), and then went over to Eliot and played "Cat-opoly" with Kim, Mike, Rinceh, Bel, b00, Dave and Tiggs :D others then met us, and we all trecked down into town again, this time to watch "Shaun of the Dead". It's a great movie, absolutely hilarious :D
After the film, we went to Burger King, where they had a BOGOF promo running. Mike and I each got two Large XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger meals... Mike finished his, I couldn't quite finish my second lot of fries. Very good meal :D Mike, Rinceh, Bel, Kim and I then went to Casey's, an Irish pub in town, where we spent a nice few hours... it was really, really nice just to be sat there with friends :D After that, we went to the Westgate Wetherspoons, where drinkage of cocktails ensued. We managed to drain a jug of cocktails in about 3 seconds bewteen us. There was this absolutely delicious "Vanilla Ice" thing, with toffee vodka, choclate mile, and vanilla rum... :9
Anyway, time to sleep now, gotta get a train early in the morning, and I'll be spending the weekend with Dave at his house in Trefforest :D

Lazy day today ~ Went out onto the hill with Kim, Ben, Kirb, Bel, Pete, Matt, Chris, Dave, Ka and D, and spent a good few hours there relaxing in the sun, reading more of the Tamuli. I bought a laptop secondhand from Koala too, which I am quite pleased with, as I can try installing debian on it, and jibble about with Unix type stuff. Kim and I came back to my room for a bit, and I messed about with the laptop while Kim played some FFX... she went home a few hours back, feeling bleugh though :/
Yesterday was fun... met Kims family, and had a meal with them, then watched Kim set her room back up :D We went across to Darwin rose garden at around 1700, and met up with people there, who were in the process of getting drunk :D. From there, everyone trucked over to RDH for food, then we all went over to EDH for a parteh... and everyone was there, it weas great to see everyone after the easter hols. Much fun was had by all I think, especially Mike who got completely plastered. Mike is funny when he's drunk :D

Sunday, 25 April 2004

Well, I forgot to update on friday, but thats nothing strange :P I spent the afternoon lazing on the sun on the Hill, then carried on into town with Deeps and Ozzit to watch KillBill Vol.2. An excellent conclusion, much less fighting action, but still awesome. I finished up the day reading more of The Tamuli.
Yesterday was another brilliant sunny day, so I sat outside in the sun for a few hours, reading more of the book, and I even got a bit of a tan! Go me! :D I spent pretty much the whole day reading, and watched a little bit of "The Recruit" before I went to bed... the second file wouldn't work, so I couldn't watch all of it >=[
Kim comes back today, and I'm gonna head down into town to meet her and her family :D I need to pick up a train ticket to go to Dave's 21st in Cardiff next weekend too.

Friday, 23 April 2004

Woohoo! Another brilliant day! Plus, Kill Bill Vol.2 comes out today \o/ I reckon I'm gonna head into town with Bel and Deeps and Chris, relax in the park for a few hours, and then go watch the first showing of KillBill Vol.2. Should be great :D

1342 - Bleugh, I'm ill. I woke up yesterday feeling really bad, so I went to the doctors and was told I may or may not have a throat infection, so they gave me a prescription to go get some antibiotics. I met up with Bel, Mike, Chris, Dave and Matt at Origins, ate some food, then went into town with Mike, Bel, Chris and Jen to pick up some stuff. Despite me having no money, in addition to the antibiotics (would have cost £20, if it wasn't for my HC2 form!!), I got a PS2 game for £7 and a Kill Bill Vol.2 poster for £3. I was supposed to go out last night to Rutherford Dining Hall, but I was feeling reeeeally bad, so I just stayed in and watched "The Man Who Sued God". Quite a good film, actually :) Linus and Tadi came back yesterday, so our house pretty much all back, with the exception of Anna. John and Bri should be coming back soon, and I think Sam is back now too.
I'm feeling a bit ick at the moment... Lots of stuff to do, but I don't really want to do anything. It's a beautiful day outside, so I should probably go out and do some stuff.

1935 - I feel a lot better now :D I walked into town with Danielle, Janine, Mike and Glen, who were going swimming, and then wandered about in town. I bought a book, which is always good, and then lazed about in the sun in one of the gardens. I then went to the cathedral around 1630, and it was really nice. The choir were practising, and just wandering around with this chanting into background was really, really awesome.
I'm back up at uni now, and might go out this evening.. not sure yet. Might just sit down and read my new book :D

Wooooo! More procrastination, when it comes do doing these journal entries. I don't know why, but I never seem like doing them
Anyway, let's see. I spent the evening at Tim's house, and got fed there, which was nice. I haven't seem him or his family for ages, and it was good catching up with them. I gave Tim my "Books of Magic" graphic novels to read, hope he likes them.
Sunday was spent doing nothing much... I can't actually remember if I did anything or not :S. Yesterday, I met up with Bel, Jen, Dave and b00 and went to Origins around midday for breakfast (Nachos and chilli beef for breakfast... mmmmm :P), and the spent a while with Bel and b00, just catching up. It was really good to catch up with them, as I haven't seen them for ages. That evening, I went out to Woodys with Danielle, Janine, Glen and Mike, and we played pool for a bit, then just sat down and chatted; Again, an extremely cool little "catch-up" thingy. We went for a little walk after that, and I took everyone down to the tunnel, through the woods in the middle of the night... was very entertaining, although a little muddy. Running off with both torches and leaving them abandonded there was also mildly amusing ;D
T'was a nice day to day, so we decided to go to the beach... I went with Danielle down to PCWorld first so they could have a look at her laptop (they don't service laptops. grrrr.), then we carried on across to Herne Bay, where we met Janine, Mike, Glen and Liz, and spent the afternoon lazing in the sun, eating candifloss, and playing on the 2p arcade machines :D So much fun :) I went briefly to Woodys again this evening, but felt out of sorts, so I came back early. I hope I'm not coming down with anything... I've already stocked up on anti-hayfever stuff :D
The plan for tomorrow is for Janine and I to go swimming in the afternoon, leaving me the morning to sleep :D

Saturday, 17 April 2004

I didn't go out in the end last night... spent the evening online, catching up with people who I haven't talked to for a while, which was nice. I also confirmed some stuff about my trip to Michigan in the summer, and I need to go looking for tents at some point. I'm going to a music festival at the start of July in Denmark too, and that needs a tent.
I'm off out into town to meet Tim in a little while, and I've just finished helping Bene's dad with his computer. The weather has been great for the last few days, and I'm looking forwards to being out in it this afternoon :D

Friday, 16 April 2004

Well, it's not quite "in the morning", but I guess I'll update now with what I've been up to over the last week. The weekend with my parents went well... went out on Friday eve and met up with David, Karen, and a few other people I haven't seen in a while, which was good. Saturday, I went out with Dave in the afternoon, and bumped into Chris, who I haven't seen in forever; It was brilliant being able to talk with him :D I spent the rest of the time relaxing, which was quite nice, and I came back on Tuesday. I met Kim in London, and she came back with me.
I've spent the rest of the week doing virtually nothing, really, except for watching the entire series of 24, Season 2. It was brilliant, and we finished it this morning, just before Kim left to go home.
After Kim left, I freshened up and then went to see Danielle, Gabby, Mike, Chris, John, Pringles and Liz out on one of the fields behind the university, for Danielles b'day meal. It was a brilliant afternoon, with clear blue skies and bright warm sun.... a really good, fun afternoon. I might head out this evening with them, but I don't really have the money, so I'll just stay in and read a book or something... I might go and watch Kill Bill Vol2 tomorrow :D

Wednesday, 14 April 2004

Just a quick update to say that I'm back (I came back Tuesday afternoon). I'll update again in the morning with what I did over the weekend... It was good fun, and I'm glad I went home for a few days :)

Friday, 9 April 2004

Uch. This is such an inhuman hour >.< No one in their right minds should be awake this early.
I'm off for a few days. Back home, just to get out of this room, see different stuff, do different stuff, before I go crazy.

Thursday, 8 April 2004

I can't believe I've done nothing so far all day. I've just sat here, in the same chair, doing the same old nothings. I woke around 9 this morning, and just lay in bed for 3 hours, because I couldn't be bothered to get up. I'm so stupidly lazy... I need to get up and do somthing.
I'm going to go away for the weekend, see somthing other than the same old four walls, I think.

Wednesday, 7 April 2004

Y'know that BBQ I cooked on Sunday for Janine and Danielle? Well, the kitchen table I used blistered from the heat of one of the BBQs, and the cleaning staff noticed it and reported it today. I had a phonecall from Janine, wking me up, asking me to go in and sort it out. To cut it short, looks like we'll be buying a new table >.<
The rest of the day has been pretty quiet (again), played alot of FFX, and am just waiting for some pasta to cook now for dinner.
Dad rang this afternoon, was checking what I am doing this weekend... might go home for a couple of days, might not. Not too sure what at the moment.

Tuesday, 6 April 2004

Sunday was a nice quiet day: Stayed in all day, then cooked a BBQ for Danielle and Janine in the evening, which was quite fun. Getting the BBQ's to light definately wasn't particularly fun, but once the were lit, the rest was easy.
Monday, again, was fairly quiet... I tried to program a PokerBot (an IRC bot that will allow people to play Poker), but ran into some problems after about 4 hours of coding, so left that and watched "The Guru" instead... brilliant film. I tried to get an early night, but couldn't sleep all that well :/
My parents came up to visit again today, and Sarah and Jonothan came with them, which was nice: Spent the morning walking round Canterbury, looking at the various sights. Had a Pizzahut lunch, then wandered around the Cathedral some. I've spent most of the rest of this afternoon / evening catching up with some wotmania people, as well as updating the "About Me" section on the site.

Mum and Dad, the photos you wanted are here.

Saturday, 3 April 2004

Great day today :D Woke up around 11ish with a killer toothache, so I went into town with Deeps and Val, and did some stuff in there: met up with Travis and a friend of his for some food, and generally wandered about. We tried out Deeps' Wi-Fi compact flash card for his PocketPC in Starbucks, but they wanted money for it so we gave up on that idea fairly quickly. I bought three more PS2 games, and then met Tim to watch Starsk & Hutch... great film, really funny, with great action sets. Tim came back up to Uni with me, and we watched Battle Royale 2, before he went home. So, good day.
Yesterday was ok, and Janine will kill me if she isn't mentioned, so I'd better mention her :P I went to #12 round yesterday afternoon, and tried to fix Danielle's computer so she could watch some of my movie files... the codecs were completetly screwed, and it refused to work, which kinda sucked. Janine cooked me a stir-fry (wonderful cook that she is ;P) in exchange for taking the bin-bags out. No brainer, really. That was followed by a movie session: I watched Love Actually (great film :D) with Janine and Danielle, then came home and pretty much collapsed into bed, plagued by toothache.
'm definately gonna have to do somthing next week about the toothache: I got some strong painkillers in town this afternoon, but it's not gonna be enough. Also on the agenda is the big pile of movies I have, plus more PS2ing, some reading, some Java jibbling, plus some Norwegian lessons. No reason to be bored at all :D
So, yeah. Erm.... hows everyone doing? I'm fine, I know you all missed me and my journal entries, so I'd better quickly recap on the past two weeks, while I can still remember what I've been up to.
From my last entry the Planet Lazer social I organised was aboslutely brilliant. Everyone had loads of fun (22 people came along in the end), and out of the two games I came 8th first time and 1st second time :D. I rock \o/ After thr running about, we grabbed a BK (Buy one get on free!), and then headed off to one of the local pubs. We actually found one that wasn't too full (it being St. Paddy's day and all), and had a good few drinks, and had a good discussion about a project for next year called WANK (that would be the Wireless Area Network for Kent, before people get the wrong idea :P ).
Thursday and Friday were spent lazing about again, doing nothing much. Friday evening there was a small little pizzafest at Seraph's house with Kim, Bel, Mike, Pyro, Piglet, Rincewind and Fudgehat. On Saturday the was a proper party at Seraph's, involving lots of drink and fun. (Word of warning. Val is a big meanie, who will kick where she shouldn't kick and throw drink about at the slightest provocation. Stay well away ;) ) The evening was slightly marred by the news of my grandad's death in the early hours of sunday morning though :'(
I actually managed to stay fairly active during the last week of term. Monday, Kim and I decided to go into twon, cos it was a really nice day, and got others to go in with us: a very pleasant afternoon was spent lounging about in the sun drinking milkshakes. It was then up to woody's for a live band (one of our friends was in the band, so we were all there to support, which was really fun. Everyone then walked back down into town to the Beercart Arms, where a few hours was spent drinking until closing time, when the long trek back up the hill to campus began.
Now, unfortunately, Pyro was giving a piggyback to Kim when he tripped up, and fell on the road, badly cutting his face with his glasses. I ended up calling an ambulance, and going into hospital with him and Kim... saw him get stitched up, which was quite funky. Kim and I got back around 3am, after being relieved bu Cutter and Morti.
On Tuesday, I organised a picnic in the afternoon, along with a trip to find the fabled tunne. A railway tunnel used to run beneath the university, but collapsed and had to be closed off. So a large group of us set off to have a picnic in the sun (which quickly turned to rain :( ), and then went in search of the tunnel. We found the tunnelily, and took some photos etc. We all walked back to Rutherford bar, where the others ordered Chinese. I went over to Kim's room at watched a movie with her... she was feeling quite shaken by the accident, and wasn't feeling to great. That evening, we all did quizzeh, and played pool for a fair bit afterwards. Much funness.
On Wednesday, Mike, Bel, Chris, Rince and I went swimming, which was great fun. Really, really good, enjoyed myself thoroughly :D Everyone came back to mine when we got back and cooked some food, then we all headed off to Tom's to watch Sophie's film, which was excellent. I had to be up early on Thursday, so I went home to bed fairly soon after that. I was up at 0630 thursday morning for a 5 hour trip to cardiff for my grandad's funeral. The trip was fairly boring, and the service wasn't exactly pleasant, but it was well done, and I was glad to be there. Saw lots of relatives who I haven't seen (in a long time/ever). Got back to Canterbury around 2315, and met Kim, Mike, Rince, Bel and Chris at a playground on the way up the hill to uni, and spent a good 30 mins odd on the swings and roundabouts, staring at the stars. A pleasant end to a sad day. I got a taxi up to uni with Kim when I started to freeze.
(One week down, one week to go.....)
Friday was the last day of term, and the day I had decided to have my birthday party (my birthday was on saturday, but most people had to leave then). I went into town in the morning to pick up some last minute bits and bobs, and then in the afternoon had a big BBQ to celebrate my B'day / end of term(I forgot to bring my camera, which was very stupid of me. I got video footage of it though! :D) . Much fun was had by all, especially me... was a great afternoon. After the BBQ, everyone piled into my room for a few hours, and then we headed over to Eliot college for their end of term event, Massive Mungos, where the regular bar, Mungos, and taken over the whole of the main dining hall, making it into one hug bar with a bit of a "school disco" feel to it. Got everyone to buy me drinks, and had lots of fun, especially at midnight when everyone counted down and sand happy birthday to me :D. I was feeling fairly tired though, so Kim, Mike and Rince and I left fairly soon after that, and went back to my house, where they gave me my birthday cake (that they had forgotten to give me earlier *rolls eyes* :D ). So yeah, very good day :D On Saturday, I met up with my parents around 11ish. They had come down to canterbury on friday, and found a guesthouse. After giving me some cards and pressies from my siblings, we went food shopping and then into town. After a lot of indecision on my part, I finally got a PS2 with FFX, FFX-2, .hack//infection and Crazy Taxi from my parents for my birthday :D:D:D I'm really really happy about that, thank you so much mum and dad :D That evening, they took Kim and I out for a meal at a chinese restaurant, which was very nice... really good to talk to them properly. Sunday was spent mainly lazing about with Kim, playing alot of FFX. Kim wasn;t feeling to well, with a sore throat, and she went home early on Monday because of it :/ The only other things I've done this week except play alot of FFX and .hack have been to give campus tours on Tues and Weds to a whole load of UXI students at a HE fair which was held on campus. I even got paid for it, and it was great work, walking around in the blazing sunshine (Tues and Weds were glorious days, clear blue skies with a nice hot sun), telling people about the university.
So yeah, thats about it... Now that I haven't got alot to do, I'll (hopefully) be updating this journal alot more.

2056 - I've gone through and added comments to all the photos now, including the old photos from Bill's b'day partey. I aslo added a link to my birthday photos, seeing as I was silly enough not to take my camera along. I did get my video camera out though, I'll see if I can get some movies onto the computer from it.
