Today was again, fairly quiet... woke up at about 11, had two classes in the afternoon (Java and Haskell), but I skipped the Haskell to go to an advanced Java lecture, on SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol... great stuff :D). After that I played some Quake3 for a bit, read some of Wizard and Glass, which I have been neglecting for ages, and thats been pretty much about it. I have fencing in half an hour, and then it's off to Rutherford to play pool and see Kim :D:D

Just about to go fencing, so only a quick update. Yesterday was fairly quiet, had a InfoSys class in the afternoon with an assessment in it, which my group totally rocked at. Went round to Mike's house in the evening with Kim and watched a few episodes of Red Dwarf, and the Eddie Izzard "Dress to Kill" show. Eddie Izzard was absolutely hilarious, great fun to watch. Go see it!

Ah, it's been a really lazy weekend, which is good. Watched some films yesterday, and I borrowed series 3 & 4 Futurama to watch at some point. I have been incredibly relaxed about life recently, and as a result haven't been getting alot of work done... which I suppose in a way is a bad thing. I'm not too bothered about it though ;D
Bill's B'day party on friday evening was good, alot of laughs all around, I think, and it was great to be at a social thing with Kim (it's been over a week \o/).
I'm intending to update my site's layout again, when I get time (probably next week, during project week). This front page is getting a little on the large side now, so I'll move the journal back to the journal page where it belongs, and only have a single entry on the front page. It's gonna be a right pain to update without asp/php, but I'm sure I'll survive :P. I also intend to include a "Site Updates" section, a "News" section, and somthing like a "Pic of the Day". I'll also get around to sorting out the forums at some point.. maybe link journal entries to the forum so people can comment on my life :P

Ah, it's the weekend! This week was full of assessments, and I barely got them in on time... I submitted the Haskell this morning with barely 5 mins to spare. It's all good though, I've done them well (cept the Haskell. It sucked >.< ) and I am still on course for a really good mark at the end of the year. Last night I went to Origins with Linus, Bri, Tadi, John, Ralph and Dan, and some friends of Linus who had come up to visit him, which was pretty cool. Kim came out with us too, and it was really nice having her with me :D
I went back to Kim's after Origins, and helped her a little with the Java assessment whilst I finished off my maths assessment, and then we watched ConAir. It's a great film, I don't know why I haven't seen it before :/
Anyway, after we finished watching that, at about 0245 in the morning, the fire alarm went off... which meant sitting outside in the cold for just over half an hour. And it was reeeeeeeally cold.
Anyhows, haven't done much today, lazed about alot with Kim, and this evening there is a big house party here in ParkWood. I got a phonecall from my parents, and they may be coming up to visit tomorrow... should be fun :P

Erk. Just spent £30 on food shopping... not good when I have £200 to last me 10 weeks until my next student loan comes in. I really need a job. I'll try and make the food stretch to the end of project week, in 3 weeks time :/
Cat took me down to Asda, along with Isabel; It was good seeing them again, I hadn't for a while (there Isabel... you got your mention ;) ). I got my Java aassessment back today (100%, as usual. I rock.), and finished off the next one. The only stuff left to do now is this weeks Haskell, the InfoSys LoFi project and the Maths assessment. There will be a Java Case Studies assessment being set soon, but I should have most of the other work finished by then.
I'm off to fencing at 2000, then going around to Rutherford for a fun and happy evening of Pool and Kim :)

Well, I haven't updated this for close on two weeks... and again, it wasn't because I forgot! I've been so busy doing stuff with people all over the place, it's been a whirlwind of a time.
Most important news first though... I have a girlfriend :D Her name is Kim, and we got together on Valentines Day. Kinda cheesy, I know, but I don't care :D :D *is so happy*
Anyway, here is a brief catchup on the last 12 days: Thursday I went round to Kim's (yey :D) in the evening and watched Blade 2 with her, which was great :D. Friday involved alot of sleep, and on Friday evening there was a meet at Dave's room in Eliot, and that was great fun... saw Ricky Gervais "Animals", which is absolutely hilarious. Left there at about 2am, and on spur of the moment me, Kim (yey :D), Mike, Fudge and Rincewind came back to my room and we watched Life of Brian, another kickass film. The weeek from here has blurred together somewhat... I slept through most of Saturday, and then went back around to Kims (yey :D) Saturday eve, and we watched Gladiator and Underworld there, then walked back over to mine at 6am to watch phone booth in my room... Kim the slept on my bed whilst I did an allnighter (played Q3 :D), and we talked all through Sunday (she left around 4pm).
I was really bad for the rest of the week... The first lecture I went to was on Thursday >.< On Monday, nothing much happened.. I went to the Rutherford quiz on tuesday, and stayed after for a couple of games of pool, which changed into a great night of poker playing with Kim (yey :D), Rince, Fudgeh Bel and Mike. Gooooood stuff :D. Weds slept (again) for most of the day, then went to Kims (yey :D) again, this time for some music playing... I played the piano for the first time in ages! It turned into another alnighter, with us playing this really cool old point-and-click game :D. We both went into town on Thursday morning to pick up my new glasses (they're really cool, I'll upload some pics of me in them when I have some), and then went to lectures (whahey, about time too :P). That evening we had a really cool night at Mikes playing poker into the early hours, and Mike and Rince got completely and uttery sloshed... It was great fun watching them :D:D
Friday was another "sleep in the day" day, and I intended to have an early night because there was a Zoo Trip planned for Sat that I intended to go to... but it never happened :D Kim came round late in the evening, we started watching some Futurama.. I put my arm round her, and one thing led to another... woohoo :D:D Saturday was one of the best Valentines Days ever... Kim and I spent the entire weekend together, which was fantastic.
I'm just really bouncy happy, I'm sooo lucky to have a fantastic girlfriend, and everything. Yeah. Tis awesome :D
Today (finally, up to date!) has been fairly slow.... was up early, actually went to the Java lecture (could have missed it, it was really bad), and did really well in the Info Sys assignment. I still have a small bit of Java to do for Fri and Maths and Haskell for Thurs, and I think thats it for a fair while :D
I'm heading over to Kim's again in a bit, and going out with John, Dan and Linus tonight (I've been neglecting them, apparantly).
Life is good

I have been continuing my extravagant lifestyle of late: Monday evening resulted in 13 people piling into my room after 3 hours in the KBar, watching a movie and getting drunk. It was a brilliant night, especially watching Piglet (Jonathan) getting drunk. Mikky and Mike were the last to leave, at round about 0630 Tuesday morning, and I got to sleep finally just after 0700.
I woke up three hours later, thinking I had a Java seminar at 1200 when it was actually at 1300, so I cleaned my room, eradicating all signs from the destruction of the night before. Except for a stain where Morti dropped pizza on my carpet. My classes that afternoon were fairly boring, but fencing that evening was great, and I won all my matches. I think we one the interhouse competition, based on last week too. After fencing, I headed over to Rutherford where I joined Mikky, Mike, Fudge, Ben and Babs for a couple of games of pool, then headed went to Mikky's room to watch equilibrium with Mike and Fudge. Got home around 0400, asleep by 0430.
Today hwas been fairly boring... helped John and Linus think through the CO312 assessment we have, and went to a meeting. I need to finish that assessment off myself, and also do a Java one, which I can hopefully do tonight :D
If I don't get distracted again.

Well, it's been quite a while since the last update, and I can honestly say it wasn't because I forgot. I've been so busy over the last few days I just haven't had the time!
Friday was a good day involving not much work and a lot of games in the afternoon, followed by a group meal at woodies in the evening, with lots of drinking through £-a-pint. After that, Linus Bri and I watched Dracula, and then I headed off to Deeps house for a good JD-drinking few hours in the small hours of the morning. Great fun.
Saturday was even better... woke up around 1330, played computer games all afternoon/evening and... that was pretty much it. I went out to the venue in the evening with Gabby, Danielle, Mike and Glen, and had much fun there. I was pretty tired after that, but I still didn't get to bed until about 1530.
Sunday was good... got up and went to Mass with Bene, then made waffles (lots, and lots of waffles) with her and Cat. Went to Asda shortly after that to pick up some food, and then to church in the evening.
Today so far has been quiet... Went to a Java lecture at midday, and had an SQL test right after (finished in 10 mins :D). This afternoon I put captions on all the pictures (go back and look at them all!) with the help of Danielle and Liz, and then played a few games with John and Linus.
Life is great :D
